--> A Forestry Management Area (FMA) is defined as: “A type of forest tenure defined by a contract between the province of Alberta and the FMA holder whereby the province provides an area-based Crown timber supply. The FMA gives the FMA holder the right to access the Crown fibre. In return, the FMA holder commits to forest management responsibilities, which may change from time to time.”
